The Quincy Police Department has two full time Animal Control Officers.  The Animal Control officers patrol the city and answer calls concerning domestic (family pets) animals and wild animals.  They focus on the care, health and well being of domestic pets by their owners and are dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their owners.  They also protect the citizens of Quincy by handling wild animals who are sick, injured or out of their habitat.  They have received extensive training in animal control and most recently were certified to use a tranquilizer gun. They have some tips for pets owners and these can be found by going to the City's Official web site page for Animal Control.
