Pro-Act Unit consists of two officers who work out of an office on the first floor in City Hall. Their
primary responsibilities are the organization and operation of the numerous
departmental Community Oriented Policing programs. Programs such as
Crime Prevention, Crime Stoppers, Neighborhood Watch, Citizen Police Academy,
Civilian Volunteers in Policing, DARE, and Business Trespass just to name a

police/community relations to various community groups, businesses, schools,
service clubs and church groups. They also conduct residential and business
inspections as requested to determine security risks and make recommendations
for improving same.
